Job Changes and the Purchase of Property
People change jobs and buy new homes all the time. You get a job offer in a new town, sell you old home and move to a new home in the new city you work in. It’s no big deal most of the time. However, if you switch careers completely or if you have a job where most of your pay is based on commission you might run into problems. Also, big gaps in your employment can affect you qualifying for a home loan.
The best bet is to consult a lender or two, prior to your change to make sure everything works out the way you want it too. Plan ahead and there will be fewer surprises.
